Job Description
Job Title: Quality Technician / Engineer
Our customer in Frazier, MI is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Technician/Engineer to support their quality management processes and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with core quality tools, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Our customer in Frazier, MI is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Technician/Engineer to support their quality management processes and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with core quality tools, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and submissions in accordance with customer requirements.
- Create and manage Control Plans to ensure consistent process control and product quality.
- Conduct and document FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities throughout project development and launch phases.
- Develop and maintain detailed Work Instructions to standardize operations and ensure quality compliance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wire harness drawings to verify conformance to design requirements.
- Manage and update IMDS (International Material Data System) submissions to ensure environmental compliance.
- Track and maintain employee training records, ensuring all personnel meet required quality and safety standards.
- Support internal and external audits and assist with corrective actions when required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and resolve quality issues.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred.
- Minimum [X] years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
- Strong knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and related quality systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency with IMDS entry and compliance processes.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
