Job Description

Job Title: Quality Technician / Engineer
Our customer in Frazier, MI is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Technician/Engineer to support their quality management processes and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with core quality tools, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, implement, and maintain PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and submissions in accordance with customer requirements.
  2. Create and manage Control Plans to ensure consistent process control and product quality.
  3. Conduct and document FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  4. Support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities throughout project development and launch phases.
  5. Develop and maintain detailed Work Instructions to standardize operations and ensure quality compliance.
  6. Read and interpret electrical schematics and wire harness drawings to verify conformance to design requirements.
  7. Manage and update IMDS (International Material Data System) submissions to ensure environmental compliance.
  8. Track and maintain employee training records, ensuring all personnel meet required quality and safety standards.
  9. Support internal and external audits and assist with corrective actions when required.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and resolve quality issues.
Qualifications:
  1. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred.
  2. Minimum [X] years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
  3. Strong knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and related quality systems.
  4. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  5. Proficiency with IMDS entry and compliance processes.
  6. Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  7. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
