Job Description
Cardinal Staffing is currently looking for press operators in Dundee, MI!
Shifts are:7:00am-3:30pm Monday-FridayBase Pay: $ 16.50-$17/hour: wage increase after skill set advancement (usually within 6 months) Key Responsibilities
• Operate mechanical or hydraulic stamping presses to shape and form metal components.
• Load raw metal materials and unload finished stamped parts.
• Set up and change dies as needed based on production specifications.
• Inspect stamped parts for quality defects such as burrs, misalignments, or improper dimensions.
• Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers for quality assurance.
• Monitor machines during operation and address malfunctions or stoppages.
• Follow strict safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication and cleaning of machines.
• Communicate with supervisors and maintenance teams regarding machine issues or quality concerns.
Skills and Qualifications
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow production specifications.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle heavy materials.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal stamping environment preferred. ? About Cardinal Staffing Services:
