Financial Controller
Job Description
About the RoleAs the Financial Controller, you will be part of the plant's leadership team, which is responsible to build up the plant in the Contract Manufacturing Business for a well-known customer. In this role you will be supporting the plant manager in any commercial-related topic. You will implement finance processes by aligning all required systems and processes in accordance with reporting requirements and guidelines.Your Responsibilities
- Manage Accounting, Treasury and CAPEX processes
- Financial Reporting: prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports according to relevant accounting standards (e.g. US GAAP, SOX, etc) as well as the company's accounting and control processes
- Budgeting and forecasting including the upload of BP values into SAP, re-budgeting (if required) and budget-to-actual analysis
- Financial analysis: prepare and provide financial reports to support decision-making and assess financial performance (KPI analysis, project expense analysis, cost tracking, etc)
- Establish systems, forms and procedures for general accounting activities based on the relevant accounting standards
- Support tax, ISO/TS and audit initiatives
- Coordinate, evaluate and advise accounts payable associate's and general ledger accountant's tasks
- Interface to payroll administration, payroll data exchange and submission approval
- Develop policies as needed (e.g. expense reimbursement policies, etc)
- Prepare annual statements/reporting and complete tax package (e.g. CMF report, annual sales tax and annual property tax returns, etc)
- Compile and submit governmental surveys and reports
- Finance expert with a minimum of 5 years related operational experience within Accounting and Controlling (Accounting experience is a must, Controlling experience beneficial)
- Experience in SAP
- Inventory control, cost estimating and control background necessary
- Knowledge of SOX mandates, financial reporting requirements as well as knowledge of federal and state tax laws
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office Software to be able to track and analyze spreadsheets
- BS degree in Accounting is preferred
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
