Job Description
Cardinal Staffing is seeking a Facility Services Technician for a health care building in Port Clinton, OH Job Summary:
As a Facility Servives Tech. you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our hospital's physical environment. Your attention to detail and dedication to providing a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility will directly contribute to the overall patient experience and the well-being of our staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical waste and hazardous materials
- Restock and maintain supplies in designated areas
- Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to infection control and workplace safety
- Collaborate with the facilities management team to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or custodial role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work efficiently and independently, with a strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with the use of cleaning equipment and supplies
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service oriented approach
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time, temporary to hire position with the potential for a permanent role. The work environment involves the physical demands of cleaning and maintaining a healthcare facility, including standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying supplies, and the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. The schedule may include a mix of day and evening shifts, as well as weekends and holidays, to ensure the hospital's facilities are maintained at all times.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15 -$18 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth.
2nd Shift 3pm-11:30pm rotating weekends and holidaysBackground and finger printing required
