Job Description
An established heat treating company in Monroe, MI currently has a full-time, direct hire position open for an Electro-Mechanical Technician working first shift. An Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for providing maintenance support throughout the organization. The team in Monroe has touched products that make the world stronger and safer. Their processes improve upon parts manufactured by other industries, including aerospace, defense, firearms, automotive, construction, agriculture, energy and medical... just to name a few. Schedule is 1st shift, but must be available for potential night or weekend on call shifts. Pay range is $27-$35, based on experience.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of a two-year degree in Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Technician Maintenance Technology or related field or a minimum of two years industrial maintenance experience
-Experience with computers, relay logic, high-voltage + low voltage systems, motors and starters, bearings and pulleys, pumps and valves, controllers
-Ability to learn environmental standards and reporting to maintain compliance
-Competent in math
-Knowledgeable with working with high-voltage industrial equipment, process gases, water supply systems
-Able to read and understand blueprints and schematics
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-Demonstrated ability to follow instructions as required
-Ability to drive facility safety initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance
-Fundamental understanding of vacuum, plasma, and gas process preferred
-Must be able to pass FIT test for NH3 handling
