Job Description
Cardinal Staffing Services is currently seeking a Composite Repair Technician for our esteemed aerospace client. This position is located in Machesney Park, IL. As a Composite Technician, you will be responsible for conducting structural repairs on various aircraft components using aerospace composites such as Kevlar, fiberglass, pre-preg, and associated resins.
Cardinal Staffing Services, is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation of $17/hr as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.
Available shifts include 1st shift- 8am-4:30pm. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Responsibilities of the Composite Repair Technician:
- Perform structural repairs on aircraft components using aerospace composite materials.
- Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with sanding dust for extended periods.
- Inspect, repair, and recertify components in compliance with FAA, EASA, ISO, AS, and other applicable quality control standards and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with company forms and quality control procedures.
- Conduct preliminary inspections, hidden damage inspections, and in-progress inspections as outlined in the Repair Station and Quality Manual.
- Monitor the due dates of calibrated equipment and shelf life items.
- Read and understand technical drawings, create repair processes, and operate calibrated tools and simple machines.
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize computer skills as necessary.
Qualifications of the Composite Repair Technician:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; A&P License desired.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and interpret technical documentation.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
- Experience using common hand tools.
- Paint experience is helpful.
- Experience working with aerospace composites, including Kevlar, fiberglass, pre-preg, and associated resins, is highly desirable
