Job Description
Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring for Pretrial Case Managers in Tallahassee, FL. As a Pretrial Case Manager for Cardinal Staffing Services, you will be working for a county government department in a probation officer role providing case management to support court orders. *This role requires all candidates to have graduated from an accredited 4-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, criminology, psychology, sociology, or a related field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing case management to an assigned list of court-ordered individuals.
- Receiving and reviewing newly assigned case files to ensure accuracy.
- Completing case management plans based on individual court orders and individual needs.
- Addressing any issues of non-compliance with office visits, telephone contact, or written correspondence.
- Reviewing financial documentation and enacting payment plans for monies owed as needed.
- Seeing clients in an office-based setting as required by policy.
- Completing weekly reports related to compliance and court documents for individual clients.
- Monitors results of any court-ordered substance testing and collecting fees for testing.
- Other case management duties as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proper formatting, grammar, and spelling.
- Capacity to work independently or in a team and complete assignments within the parameters of given instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Previous experience and a current skillset in a human services-related setting.
- Knowledge of standard office equipment (printer, scanner, computer, etc.)
- Ability to research, interpret, and explain data, reports, and policies.
- Skill to communicate clearly, effectively, tactfully, and patiently in-person, on the phone and in writing to a diverse population, and to present oneself professionally and cordially.
- A high-level of organizational ability and personal accountability.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent judgement in regards to assessing situations and deciding upon a course of action.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
