Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Livonia, MIShift 7am-330 Monday-Friday Pay 18-20 per hour BOE
Cardinal Staffing is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Machinist to join our Livonia, Michigan facility. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and/or CNC equipment to manufacture precision components that meet exact specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and production efficiency.Essential Responsibilities

Cardinal Staffing is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Machinist to join our Livonia, Michigan facility. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and/or CNC equipment to manufacture precision components that meet exact specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and production efficiency.Essential Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances and product quality
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of machining experience preferred
- CNC programming and setup experience a plus
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Solid math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Experience using precision measuring tools accurately
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Industrial manufacturing setting
- Exposure to machine noise and moving mechanical parts
- Required use of PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection
