Pay: $20-23 Per Hour
Position SummaryCardinal Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CMM Operator to join our clients quality team. This role is responsible for performing precise dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure all products meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection processes within a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities

Position SummaryCardinal Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CMM Operator to join our clients quality team. This role is responsible for performing precise dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure all products meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection processes within a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities
- Operate CMM equipment to inspect parts and assemblies to engineering specifications
- Program, edit, and run CMM inspection routines (PC-DMIS or similar software preferred)
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
- Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Document and record inspection results accurately
- Identify non-conforming parts and communicate findings to production and quality teams
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain calibration and proper care of inspection equipment
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety procedures
- 2+ years of experience operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with CMM programming software (PC-DMIS preferred)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Experience in automotive or metal manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO or quality management systems
- Previous quality inspection or quality technician experience
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs as needed
- Frequent use of hands for measuring and handling parts
