Job Description

Job Title: Brake Press Set-Up / OperatorPosition Summary:
 Our client in Roseville, MI is seeking an experienced Brake Press Set-Up / Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating brake press machines, producing high-quality fabricated parts, and working closely with quality teams to ensure parts meet specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Set up and operate brake press machines for daily production runs
  2. Perform complete brake press job set-ups, including tooling and gaging
  3. Fabricate parts to meet gage and tooling requirements
  4. Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings
  5. Work with the CMM department to obtain part buy-off and quality approval
  6. Perform metal fabrication tasks including grinding and metal finishing
  7. Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to ensure quality standards
  8. Maintain an organized work area and follow safety procedures
  9. Contribute positively to team environment with a strong, professional attitude
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Brake Press Set-Up / Operator
  2. Strong fabrication background (required)
  3. Blueprint reading experience (required)
  4. CAD drawing interpretation (required)
  5. GD&T knowledge (required)
  6. Experience using a variety of hand and measurement tools (required)
  7. Ability to fabricate parts to precise specifications
Preferred / Helpful Experience:
  1. Welding experience
  2. Experience with MES systems
  3. Part qualifying and processing experience
Additional Requirements:
  1. Strong organizational skills
  2. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  3. Ability to work independently and manage daily setups efficiently
