Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services hiring a Brake Press Set Up Operator located in Roseville, MI.  This position is responsible for setting up and operating brake press machines, producing high quality fabricated parts, and working closely with quality teams to ensure parts meet specifications.  Responsibilities of the Brake Press Operator Include: 
  • Set up and operate brake press machines for daily production, including tooling and gaging
  • Fabricate parts to meet gage and tooling requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings
  • Work with the CMM department to obtain part buy-off and quality approval
  • Perform metal fabrication tasks including grinding and metal finishing
  • Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to ensure quality standards
  • Maintain an organized work area and follow safety procedures
  • Contribute positively to team environment with a strong, professional attitude
 Required Qualifications of the Brake Press Operator:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Brake Press Set-Up / Operator
  • Strong fabrication background (required)
  • Blueprint reading experience (required)
  • CAD drawing interpretation (required)
  • GD&T knowledge (required)
  • Experience using a variety of hand and measurement tools (required)
  • Ability to fabricate parts to precise specifications
  • Welding experience preferred
  • Experience with MES systems
