Beverage Equipment Technician

Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring Beverage Equipment Technicians for a large, well-known client in Temperance, MI.  The operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production machinery for raw materials. Cardinal Staffing Services, is invested in their team members!  All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $18-$22 per hour as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).  Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.  
Schedule: Full Time, 10 hour shift /40 hours Monday-Thursday 6:30AM-5PM overtime as needed
  Key Responsibilities: (Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned) 
  1. Follow all safety and quality guidelines with an elevated sense of urgency and attention to detail, ability to effectively communicate while indirectly leading team members in a fast-paced / high-volume production work environment
  2. Assist in startup, changeovers, and shutting down of machines and equipment; Troubleshoot issues with equipment performance 
  3. Responsible for a variety of daily production functions such as: safely and efficiently operating machinery; receiving, validating, and signing off on raw materials; set up, prepare, and maintain machinery for raw materials to continuously run; make minor adjustments or tweaks to machinery as needed 
  4. Communicate with team members to secure a steady and timely supply of raw materials, packaging, and totes to ensure production will not be interrupted 
  5. Lead and validate completion of Quality Assurance throughout the production process while communicating with team members and leadership
  6. Perform minor adjustments; Initiate immediate Maintenance, Quality, Supervision Reviews for any suspect or defective materials, products and packaging 
  7. Accurately perform detailed and organized record keeping; run time, down time, in-put, out-put, quality / repair time, discarded material / waste, suspect / defective materials or products
  8. Oversee and evaluate the training of new employees, identify additional training opportunities and aid in assigning others to complete additional tasks / projects as workloads fluctuate
  9. Uphold standards for cleanliness and safe work environments, ensure your work area’s meet these expectations
  Minimum Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma or GED preferred, with 2 years of Machine Operating experience and production or manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Preferably experience working with liquids and/or flushing food products.
  2. Strong ability to efficiently remain organized, detailed oriented and tactful while communicating
  3. Ability to follow standard operating procedures
  4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and independently
