Aluminum MIG Welder
Pay Rate: Starting at $19.00/hour (higher pay available based on experience)
Location: Southgate, MI
Primary Purpose & Function
Cardinal Staffing is seeking an experienced Aluminum MIG Welder to join our production team in Southgate, MI. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating aluminum components while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Candidates must have previous aluminum welding experience and will complete an on-site weld test prior to hire.

Primary Purpose & Function
Cardinal Staffing is seeking an experienced Aluminum MIG Welder to join our production team in Southgate, MI. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating aluminum components while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Candidates must have previous aluminum welding experience and will complete an on-site weld test prior to hire.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on aluminum materials and components
- Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and work instructions
- Operate welding equipment and related fabrication tools safely
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and structural integrity
- Grind, clean, and prepare materials before and after welding
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Work independently and as part of a production team to meet deadlines
- Previous aluminum MIG welding experience required
- Ability to pass a hands-on welding test prior to hire
- Experience using hand tools, grinders, and measuring tools preferred
- Ability to read tape measures and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Manufacturing or fabrication shop experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Repetitive bending, lifting, and reaching throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and metal materials
