Job Description
Cardinal Staffing is seeking an Advanced Paint Technician who will be responsible for applying various coatings in the Paint Shop, ensuring that they meet customer specifications. This role requires a strong background in automotive body painting, along with the ability to formulate and mix paint products accurately. The technician will also maintain equipment and support compliance with quality policies while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Properly formulate all refinish coatings including primers, base coats, and clear coats as directed by paint supplier's technical data.
- Provide properly matched refinish color products in 'ready to spray' formulas to painters.
- Mix only the required amount of refinish products to limit waste using the paint supplier's mix-management system.
- Update all paint supplier color, technical data, and material as received.
- Maintain and clean all paint formulation and spray application equipment as directed by management.
- Ensure the paint area and storage rooms are clean and organized according to directives.
- Support compliance with RCO Quality Policies and corporate continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of experience in Automotive Body Painting
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills to operate mixing software
