Location: St. Johns, MI | Schedule: Part-Time | Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the Role
Cardinal Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant for a reputable employer in St. Johns, MI. This is a part-time front office administrative and clerical support role in a fast-paced food manufacturing and dairy production environment.

The Administrative Assistant will manage the front reception desk, support daily office operations, assist with HR administrative duties, and provide professional support to employees, visitors, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional reception area

Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate person or office

Answer phones and direct calls to the correct department

Maintain the company switchboard and assist with office communications

Organize and distribute incoming mail and coordinate express mail services

Order office supplies, business cards, stationery, envelopes, and other necessary items

Assist with conference room scheduling, catering, filing, and general administrative tasks

Support HR administrative duties, travel arrangements, presentations, and reconciliations

Handle confidential and non-routine information professionally

Follow all safety, food safety, and company policy requirements
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of related administrative experience and/or training preferred

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects at once

Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality

Comfortable working in or around a manufacturing environment

Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. as needed

Must follow all safety, food safety, and workplace policies
