Job Description
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electric Motor Repair Technician for a machine shop in Monroeville, OH . The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing both large and small electric motors and possess a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic processes. This position involves hands-on repair, diagnostics, rewinding, and fabrication work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repair and maintenance on AC and DC electric motors, including large and small units
- Conduct winding diagnostics, Class H rewinds, and complete motor rebuilds
- Use precision apparatus and equipment for dynamic balancing and diagnostics
- Operate tools such as Electrom iTIG II 12KVA Surge tester, and perform Meg-Ohm, PI, Surge, and Resistance testing
- Perform mechanical machining and custom fabrication as needed for repairs
- Accurately read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Carry out electrical wiring, welding, and fabrication tasks with a high level of quality
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with motors and related components
- Ensure repairs meet industry standards for precision and safety
- Proven experience in electric motor repair, including AC/DC motors
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, and machining
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Familiarity with testing tools and standards (Meg-Ohm, PI, Surge, Resistance)
- Experience with dynamic balancing equipment and precision rebuilds
- Knowledge of safety standards and industry best practices
- Certification in motor repair or related technical training
- Familiarity with Electrom iTIG II Surge testing equipment
