Job Description
Cardinal Staffing is partnered with a warehouse facility focusing on the distribution of non-automotive goods to GM facilities in Lansing, Mi. The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in the daily operations within a warehouse environment. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and distributing a wide variety of materials — including items ranging from nuts and bolts to cleaning supplies and toilet paper — to meet the needs of General Motors production facilities.
This is a direct hire position, starting at $18.50/hr. Training would be on 1st shift, working 7a-3p and moving to 3rd shift working 9:30p-6a.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies.
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for delivery to GM facilities (LGR and LDT).
• Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as required.
• Perform routine cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and GM contacts to support uninterrupted supply operations.
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies or potential supply issues.
Qualifications:
• 1+ year of experience in warehouse, distribution, or material handling preferred.
• Chauffeurs License required
• MDOT up to date physical required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills (inventory systems, Microsoft Office, scanners, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
