Job Description
Cardinal Staffing is working with a leading manufacturer committed to innovation, quality, and sustainability in Monroe, MI to find a Production Operator. The Production Operator will be responsible for operating HB production equipment on the Secondary Expander line. This role ensures production efficiency and product quality while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental standards.
The position will be 3rd Shift 11pm - 7:30am, Monday to Friday, with a starting rate of $16.50/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate HB production equipment; adjust controls for optimal quality and efficiency.
- Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, etc.) and make necessary adjustments.
- Assist material handlers and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Inspect product quality and bulk density; implement minor changes to maintain standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
- Complete required production reports accurately.
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Cross-train in other HB work centers as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required. MUST provide proof of diploma or GED.
- Prior manufacturing experience (preferably with metric systems).
- Ability to read and interpret basic production data to ensure quality and process control.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and make independent judgments.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
