Job Description
Cardinal Staffing is partnered with a food production facility in Grand Rapids, MI. They are looking to add a 2nd shift packaging lead to their growing team.
2nd shift is working 3:15 p.m.-2:00 a.m., with some overtime required during the busy season and on weekends. These positions are starting at $21.50 available, with benefits available upon hired in. These are temp to hire positions with longevity and growth opportunities available.
Essential Functions
• Monitor, oversee and facilitate the packing lines
• Administrative functions including paperwork, hourly line checks, and quality checks
• Maintaining and overseeing safety regulations are being followed
• Perform all preproduction checks
• Make minor adjustments and corrections to the machinery
• General end of day housekeeping duties
Skills and Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years in food processing or related field
• Must be able to learn, or have previous experience, using the JD Edwards Inventory System
• Must be comfortable standing and walking for long periods of time
• Basic math skills and strong multi-tasking abilities
• Able to work in a team environment
