Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Toaster/Sheeter Operator to join our food production team. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring tortilla chip production equipment, including sheeters and toasters, to ensure consistent product quality, food safety, and efficient production output.
3rd shift employees will be working 10:00p.m.-6:30a.m. with some additional overtime required on weekends. Pay rates are based on experience, starting at $17.50/hr. Benefits available at 60 days through Cardinal Staffing.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and monitor sheeter and toaster equipment used in tortilla chip manufacturing.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain proper thickness, texture, color, and product consistency.
• Conduct routine quality checks throughout the production process.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and GMP standards.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate production records and downtime logs.
• Assist with product changeovers, equipment cleaning, and sanitation procedures.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or production preferred.
• Experience operating industrial food processing equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime or weekends if needed.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferred.
Work Environment
• Manufacturing/production facility environment.
• Exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving machinery.
• PPE required in designated production areas.
