Job Description
Operate presses as instructed, follow engineering specifications for position of glass, resin mixing, and pour patterns. Perform finish responsibilities as needed and complete proper paperwork. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Pour resin onto fiberglass sheets in mold according to production specification sheet.2. Use counter to track number of parts produced.3. Clean debris from mold by spraying with air hose prior to beginning process then apply mold wax.4. Pour specified amount of resin mixture into buckets using dipsticks.5. Add catalyst to mixture and mix with air mixer.6. Operate press7. Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries following safety procedures.8. Place fiberglass sheets on the mold.9. Place part on check fixture at take appropriate measurements. Records measurements on appropriate logs and charts.10. Verify accuracy of water jets by calling robotics to run a first part run on cutter and having robotics approve the first cut.11. Clean debris from buckets before using.12. Inspect part for quality issues and repairs/reworks.13. Adjust mold/press compression timing and mold temperature as needed or instructed.14. Replace empty resin barrel and retrieving a full barrel.15. Clean molds as needed for making class “A” parts.16. Conduct first part runs according to part specifications and log SPC charts to verify control limits, then receive supervisor approval.17. Stamp part with date and lot number.18. Clean resin run out and gel coat from mold and bed of machine. Primary Responsibilities (cont.): 19. Mark measurements onto ratio log and calculate ratio three times per shift making adjustments as needed to keep parts within control limits.20. Perform minor repairs on parts.21. Report production numbers to shift supervisor.22. Troubleshoot work-related problems by working together in a team to come up wit solutions.23. Look at production board to determine which press is running what job #, lot #, and the amount of resin to pour.24. Spray adhesive glue and place tag as required.25. Complete Mix Ratio Log three times per shift.26. Employee may be required to perform testing to specified lab work instructions. Education: 1. The job requires knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma. Training: 1. On the job training will be provided.2. Safety training will be provided.3. Training as needed to achieve the required skill levels. Skill: 1. Skills as a molding finisher preferred but not required. Experience: 1. Prior experience as a Molding Finisher is recommended. #IND1
