Job Description
Cardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring Welder/Fabricators for a client in DeKalb, IL. Ideal applicants should have experience in welding and fabrication, particularly in interpreting CAD drawings and using various welding techniques such as GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW.
Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($22-28/hr based on experience + weld test) and a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available shift: Monday-Friday, 5:30 am - 2:00 pm.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret CAD drawings to plan layouts for pressure vessel heads and shells
- Cut holes for nozzles, prepare surfaces, and weld pressure vessel components
- Perform welding certifications per ASME Section IX in 1G, 2G, and 6G positions
- Inspect welds visually to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of welding/fabrication experience
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings accurately
- Knowledge of GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW welding techniques
- Basic to intermediate math skills
- Strong work ethic and excellent attendance record
