Company Overview:Our client, located in Sterling Heights, MI, is a rapidly growing manufacturer serving top-tier automotive suppliers. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a Maintenance Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Position Summary:We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician with solid experience in both electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair within a metal stamping environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of stamping presses, coil feed lines, conveyors, and other production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on metal stamping presses, feed lines, conveyors, and auxiliary systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including 480V circuits, motors, drives, relays, sensors, and PLCs.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with presses and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment uptime.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with all safety standards.

Qualifications:
  •  Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in metal stamping or a heavy industrial environment
  •  Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (including controls, drives, and PLCs)
  • Proven experience in mechanical repair, including press rebuilds and welding
  • Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment
  • Trade school diploma, technical certification, or journeyman card is a plus
