Maintenance Technician responsibilities include:
- Survey and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Tracks and monitors equipment for performance to expected output standards and effectuates repairs as required.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems.
- Perform manual repairs of machine when necessary
- Conduct general upkeep procedures of packing machines.
- Responds in a timely manner to effectuate repairs for down equipment/ machines.
- Ensures all safety measures are in place for his or her equipment/ area. Listens openly to supervisors’ and/ or operators’ feedback on machine performance to understand the issue(s) and priorities.
Requirements and skills:
- 1-3yrs experience in maintenance of support of packaging facility
- Proven experience as maintenance support of packaging facility.
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Tracks and monitors equipment for performance to expected output standards and effectuates repairs as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
