Job Description
A Tier 1 Stellantis supplier in Milan that manufactures high-quality stamped assemblies, closures, and suspension systems is looking to expand their team!
Job Title: Die Setter
Starting Rate: $21-$23/hour based on experience
Schedules: 5-7 days / week
2nd - Monday to Friday 3:30PM to 12AM & weekends 1:30PM to 10PM (will train on 12PM-8PM schedule)
Responsibilities:
· Operating presses and set up and install dies into machines.
· Ability to follow documented work instructions.
· Adjust machine settings to ensure proper specifications are met.
· Loading coils starting strips trough dies.
· Safely and properly operate material handling equipment(Hilo and Overhead Cranes)
· Accurately complete all documentation associated with the position(Standard work instructions, Quality etc.)
· Verify alignment of work piece on machine using measuring instruments (mics, calipers, tape measures)
· Troubleshoot issues with dies and machinery to reduce downtime
· Preform housekeeping duties as needed
· Comply with federal and sate safety regulations
· Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
· Experience in pressroom operations, die setting and operation of single hit, progressive and transfer dies preferred.
· Proficient in smart pack and feeder programming.
· Proficiency in programming logic controllers(PLCs).
· Experience with tonnage monitoring, lead hits and reading ram settings.
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
· Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Must be reliable and committed to working scheduled shifts.
· Ability to work overtime as necessary to meet customer demands (daily and weekends)
Additional required experience:
· Forklift and Crane experience
· Lock out tag out
· Transfer dies, finger adjustments programming transfer (Atlas & Wayne Trail)
· Trained in SMEAD
